SURPRISE, Ariz. — The Park University Gilbert volleyball team (1-2) defeated the Westcliff University Warriors (3-7) by a score of 3-1, Friday morning at the OUAZ Invitational in Surprise, Ariz.
The Buccaneers picked up their first win of the 2026 season, taking three out of four sets against the Warriors (25-18, 27-25, 13-25, 29-27). Park-Gilbert wrapped up the 2026 OUAZ Invitational on a winning note, as Saturday was their final day of competition.
Park-Gilbert took care of business in the first set with a seven-point victory, and survived a pair of competitive battles in the second and fourth sets.
Three Buccaneers posted double-digit kills against Westcliff: Keep Williams (14), Lainey Calvary (13), and Hayven Lick (11). Williams, after recording a career-high 13 kills against Northwest on Friday, sets a new personal best in kills Saturday afternoon. Porsche Bauer and Kyla Knight recorded career-highs in digs with 21 and 15 respectively. Setter Adrianna DeMario posted 37 assists, 10 digs, and seven kills.

The Buccaneers return home next week as they begin Great Southwest Athletic Conference play, as Park-Gilbert prepares to host the La Sierra University Golden Eagles (2-3). This contest will take place this Thursday, Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. MST at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.
