Early in the second half the Bucs took a 48-47 lead against the Royals, but Hope found its rhythm and reached its largest lead of 14 points with five minutes remaining.
Four Buccaneers reached double-digit scoring figures in this contest. Lindsey led the team in points with 23, shooting 75% from the field and 57% from downtown. Wood finished with 16 points, four rebounds, and four three-point makes. Guard Luke Olmstead, who came off the bench, logged 16 points and one steal. Guard Tanner Pate scored seven of his 10 total points in the second half. The Park-Gilbert bench outscored HIU's reserves 28-23.
