Vallejo, Calif. – In their final match up during their two game road trip, the men's basketball team at Park University Gilbert fell 70-59 to the California State University-Maritime Keelhaulers. The Buccaneers move to 5-18, 3-12.

Park struggled to close the point gap throughout the night, with CSU-Maritime leading by 17 early in the second half. It was anyone's game when it came to three-pointers, as both teams struggled to shoot more than 22%. When it came to turnovers, Park was able to turn their five steal opportunities into 11 points, just in the first 20 minutes alone.

Tre Adams put up a team high of 12 points, shooting 50% from the floor. Zrebric Humphrey Jr. chipped in with 10 points and six rebounds. Tyler Holmes saw action tonight as he clocked in for 10 minutes, bagging eight points and going 4-8 from the floor.

Park's deep bench was able to provide relief for the five starters. Kylan Shorts and Colton McGinnis both put up six points after being subbed in during the first half. Shorts finished his night with two assists and McGinnis with five boards. Overall, the bench was able to produce 27 points, whereas the Keelhaulers only managed 10.

Unfortunately, the Buccaneers were unable to capitalize on a score change, as they found themselves trailing by at least 11 though the end of the game.

Park returns to the valley on Feb. 8 for a match up against the Redhawks of Benedictine University Mesa. Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be held in Bell Bank Park, Powered by Legacy Sports.
