Zac Wheeler comes to Park University Gilbert with over a decade of coaching experience. Wheeler's most recent coaching stop was at South Mountain Community College in Phoenix, Ariz. where he was an assistant coach for the men's team; his other stops include assistant coaching jobs at Skyline and Perry High Schools and TFA FC Barcelona Arizona, where he held assistant coach, head coach and recreational director titles at various times.
Wheeler has experience with all aspects of coaching and helped lead an FC Barcelona coaching course through TFA Barcelona where a focus was placed on building from defense and midfield and attacking from midfielders, forwards and wing players. He holds an AYSA National "D" License.
In 2011, he earned his Bachelor's of Science in Entrepreneurship from Grand Canyon University where he played for the Lopes after a two year stint at Chandler-Gilbert Community College.
Prior to his coaching and collegiate careers, Wheeler was a standout midfielder at Highland High School in Gilbert, Ariz. where he helped lead the Hawks to a 5A state championship in 2006; he was named All-State Honorable Mention and Second Team All-Conference.
With the Buccaneers, Wheeler will focus on strength and conditioning of athletes; he currently owns Zeus Fitness and Performance LLC, a personal training service for athletes and general public, and holds NSCA-CSCS, NASM-CPT, CES, FMS and Pn1 certifications.
Wheeler wife's name is Sheree and they have a newborn daughter, Josey.
