Coach Brokaw comes to Park University-Gilbert via his most recent stop at Scottsdale Community College where he helped guide them to the ACCAC D2 playoffs. He is originally from Oregon, where he was born and raised just outside of Salem, Oregon.Â
He graduated and received his bachelor's degree from Western Oregon University. Coach Brokaw also holds a Master's degree from Arizona State University.Â
Coach Brokaw has over 15 years of coaching experience at the college and university levels both on the men's and women's side. He has coached at different levels, ranging from JUCO, D3, D2 and now at the NAIA level with Park University-Gilbert.
Coach Brokaw has had the opportunity to coach a few players who have gone on to play professionally as well as several players who represent themselves on the ALL-TIME lists at their respective schools. Coach Brokaw was on the coaching staff at Chemeketa Community College which won the NWAC JUCO Championship.
Coach Brokaw also has several years of coaching at basketball camps to include: Larry Steele Basketball - where he is currently the Assistant Director, Cascade Sports Camp, Willamette University-Coaches Clinic, Arizona Western Camp, Western Oregon University-Coaches Clinic, Oregon Trail-Team Camp (Assistant Director), Steve Blake Basketball Camp, Chris Dudley Basketball Camp and Park University-Gilbert Skills Camp.Â
Besides coaching, Coach Brokaw enjoys being active, being outdoors and traveling.Â
