Clark Fleming enters his first year as a graduate assistant coach for the Buccaneer volleyball program, bringing extensive experience and success to Park Gilbert.

Clark comes to Park Gibert after four years as an assistant with the Benedictine Mesa men’s volleyball team, where they won the 2019 NAIA National Championship and reached the championship game in 2018.  They Redhawks were ranked No. 1 in the country and the favorites for the championship in 2020 before the season was halted due to the global pandemic.

In addition to his time at BenU, Fleming has been a staple at the high school and club levels in Arizona, Clark was the head boys and girls head coach at Mountain View (Mesa) in 2020-21 (boys) and from 2018-2020 (Girls).  He compiled 49 wins in three years on the women’s side after taking over the program which only won six games the year prior to his arrival. By year three he had them in the 6A state semifinals. Fleming was an assistant coach on the men’s side prior to his ascention to head coach and he helped lead the Toros to the 6A State final in 2019 and the state semis in 2018. Fleming was named the East Valley Region Coach of the Year in 2018 and 2019. Fleming has also held head coaching positions with the Mountain View Volleyball Club, Aspire, Molten and Club Blue.

Fleming graduated from Mesa High School in 2014.  He was a four-year varsity letter winner for the Jackrabbits as a libero where he helped lead them to the AIA championship game in 2014 and the state semifinals in 2013.  Fleming had 620 digs in 222 sets over his junior and senior seasons.
