Marisa Stankiewicz

A native of Gilbert, Arizona, Marisa Stankiewicz joins the new line of up 1st year coaches for the Buccaneer's softball program.

For the last two seasons, Stankiewicz was the assistant coach at South Mountain Community College. Here, she helped lead the team to finish third in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference with a 25-9 record.

Before then, she was a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater, Arizona State University.

While playing varsity softball for the Tigers at Gilbert High School, Stankiewicz and her team appeared in the playoffs during the 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 seasons.

After high school, Stankiewicz signed to play with the Sun Devils where she appeared in 43 games as a freshman. During her senior year, she finished fifth on the team with a (.509) slugging percentage and recorded eight home runs. Stankiewicz was one of three Sun Devils to have started in all 51 games during the 2018 season and was also added to the 3rd Team All Conference for that year.

Aside from college, Stankiewicz, alongside Park’s Brandon Telesco, is the head softball coach for the Arizona Storm U18 team.

Stankiewicz has two siblings, both of whom play sports at the collegiate level, and a father, Andy Stankiewicz who is the head baseball coach at USC.
