Recap
The Bucs fell behind early in game one and never recovered dropping game one 14-3 in seven innings due to the mercy rule.
Evan Vandervalk provided the offense for the Bucs, getting three of the four Bucs hits in the game with his first home run of the season and two RBI.
The Bucs turned things around in the seven inning nightcap of the double header, jumping on the Mustangs with four runs in the first and five in the fourth inning en route to a 14-4 win in game two.
Hayden King made his first start of the season after missing the first month with an injury and making two relief appearances the last two weeks and held the Mustang bats in check. King threw five innings, scattering eight hits, allowing four runs (three earned) while striking out eight. King (2-0) picked up his second win of the season. Jimmy Wood closed things out with two scoreless innings of relief.
At the plate, freshman Aron Rivas hit his second and third home runs of the season, a two-run shot in the third and a grand slam in the fourth. He finished with six RBI which is one off the school record.
