GLENDALE, Ariz. --- The Park University Gilbert softball team (10-14, 1-5) dropped a Wednesday evening doubleheader to the Arizona Christian University Firestorm (18-5, 6-0) at the ACU softball field in Glendale, Ariz.
The Buccaneers lost 10-0 in Game 1, a contest that saw the run rule applied after five innings. Park-Gilbert put up a better fight in Game 2, but ultimately fell 10-8 to close out the day.
The Bucs have now dropped three straight games while Arizona Christian remains atop the Great Southwest Athletic Conference standings. Park-Gilbert remains in fifth place following today's results, as they move to 4-17 all-time against the Firestorm.
