MESA, Ariz. — The Park University Gilbert women's soccer team suffered an 8-0 loss to No. 9 Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Thursday evening at Arizona Athletic Grounds.

Kaitlyn Roskopf opened the scoring in the sixth minute before Jamie Brandon, Tessa Updegraff, and Isabella Jost added goals to give the Eagles a 5-0 advantage at halftime. Updegraff scored twice in the first half, while Roskopf, Brandon and Jost each found the net once.

The Eagles continued their offensive pressure after the break, adding three more goals in the second half. Samantha Wright scored in the 51st minute, Roskopf added her second goal in the 55th minute, and Updegraff completed her hat trick shortly afterward to make it 8-0.

Park-Gilbert was held to one shot, while Embry-Riddle finished with 41 shots and 19 shots on goal. The Eagles also held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks. Journey Morimoto made four saves in the first half, while Ava Henry added seven saves after halftime.

The loss moves the Buccaneers to 8-3-1 overall and 4-2-1 in GSAC play. The result also extends Embry-Riddle's winning streak in the all-time series to nine matches.
