The Park University Gilbert women's basketball team lost on day two of the Lewis-Clark State Classic to the host seventh-ranked Lewis-Clark State 113-61 in Lewiston, Idaho this evening.
The Bucs were without the services of guard Hemani Kalia tonight who was injured in the Bucs game yesterday against Eastern Oregon.
The Bucs had to shake up their rotations without Kalia, one of the Bucs top scorers out of the lineup.
LCSC outscored the Bucs 33-11 in the first quarter, but the Bucs continued to play hard and stayed tight with the Warriors in the second and third quarters. The final quarter saw the LCSC explode for 36 points to pull away to the final score.
The Bucs improved on their shooting from last night shooting 34 percent from the floor and 34 percent from three-point range. The Bucs made 10 three-point buckets tonight after only making four against Eastern Oregon.
Individually, Larken Hoar led the team with 13 points, knocking down three three-pointers. Alli Cummings added eight points and Symirah Gray seven points.
Center Jelissa Julmist led the team in both rebounds (5) and assists (4).
The Bucs return to the court next week in Oregon with two more ranked opponents on the docket. They will take on No. 15 Southern Oregon next Friday, November 14 and No. 14 Oregon Tech on Saturday, November 15.
