Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Bucs Fall 6-3 to Hope International

IRVINE, Calif. --- The Park University Gilbert men's soccer team (6-7-4, 5-4-3) lost 3-6 to the Hope International University Royals (5-5-7, 4-4-4), Thursday evening at the OC Great Park in Irvine, Calif.

The Buccaneers now sit on the outside looking in at the Great Southwest Athletic Conference playoff picture, as they drop to fifth place in the GSAC standings. The first three seeds have been clinched by La Sierra, Arizona Christian, and Embry-Riddle. That leaves the fourth and final spot up for grabs between Park-Gilbert, Benedictine Mesa, and Soka.

The first 50 minutes of this contest was all Royals, as Hope International jumped out to a 6-0 lead.

Buccaneers sophomore forward Caden Dosmann scored twice off a pair of penalty kicks in the 62nd and 73rd minutes. Junior forward Ilan Rodriguez-Roda netted his second goal of the season in the 62nd minutes.

Both teams put up plenty of shots in this match, combining for 37 along with 18 shots on goal.

Park-Gilbert returns to the pitch this Saturday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. MST, when the Bucs wrap up the regular season against the Life Pacific University Warriors (0-14-2, 0-10-2) in Azusa, Calif.
