MESA, Ariz. --- The Park University Gilbert men's soccer team (4-2-1, 2-0-1) won their match 2-0 against Life Pacific University (1-6-0, 0-3-0) Thursday night on home turf at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.
Both of Park Gilbert's goals came right before and right after the halftime break, as they quickly seized momentum and the win in this particular window of play.

Linus Vilhelmsson netted the first of his collegiate career in the 37
th minute, assisted by senior forward
Ashton Owen. Then in the 49
th minute, Owen scored his first goal of the 2024 season off an assist from freshman defensemen
Noah Yalu.
The Buccaneers gave themselves plenty more opportunities, spending majority of the match on offense with 18 shots, seven shots on goal, and nine corner kicks. On the other side of the pitch, goalkeeper and junior
Zac Stephenson recorded two saves and a clean sheet for the evening.Â
