GILBERT, Ariz. --- The Park University Gilbert men's soccer team (4-2-2, 2-0-2) tied at home against the Hope International University Royals (5-1-2, 2-0-2) Saturday night at Desert Sky Park, in Gilbert, Ariz.
Defense won the day, as both teams played to a 0-0 draw.
In the first half of play, both teams saw limited offensive chances. The Royals took four shots, two of which were on goal. Park-Gilbert's offense was also held to one shot on goal in the first 45 minutes of play.
The Bucs' best chance to break the tie came in the 63
rd minute of action, when a well-timed shot from forward
Hudson Deutsch ended up saved by Royals goalkeeper Milton Herrera. Buccaneers goalkeeper
Zac Stephenson, recorded two saves on the evening.
The Buccaneers and Royals recorded seven and eight fouls on the night, respectively, making for a physical match between the Great Southwest Athletic Conference rivals.

rd, at 8:00 p.m. MST against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (1-3-3, 1-1-1) at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.
