PHOENIX, Ariz. --- The Park University Gilbert men's basketball team (0-1, 0-0) opened the 2024-2025 regular season with a 65-111 loss against the Nelson University Arizona Warriors (2-0, 0-0), Friday night on the road in Phoenix, Ariz.

A Buccaneers roster loaded with newcomers collectively shot 48% on the night, but ultimately the 38-point first half deficit was too much to come back from despite the competitive second half.

Junior forward Caleb Geisendorfer led the Bucs in scoring with 18 points, shooting an efficient 9-13 on the night. Geisendorfer was one rebound shy of a double-double.

Senior forward Isaiah Williams contributed 17 points off the bench, going 8-13 with 26 minutes on the floor.

Park-Gilbert returns to the floor this Monday, Nov. 4^th at 6:00 p.m. MST, when they head to Flagstaff, Ariz. to compete in an exhibition with the Northern Arizona University Lumberjacks (0-0, 0-0), members of the Division I Big Sky Conference.
