CHANDLER, Ariz. --- The Park University Gilbert men's basketball team (1-3, 0-0) secured its first win of the 2024-2025 regular season Thursday night, against the Justice College Lions by a score of 60-47 on the road in Chandler, Ariz.

The Buccaneers won the day off quality second-half play, as they stared down a tied game heading into the locker room at halftime.

A productive and efficient night from the Bucs' bench led to them outscoring Justice's bench 33-15. Junior forward Caleb Geisendorfer came off the bench and led Park-Gilbert in scoring with 18 points and 7 rebounds, shooting 5-8 off 18 minutes played.

Sophomore guard Tanner Pate gave the Bucs 17 points off 36 minutes played, as he nailed three of the Buccaneers' four total three-pointers on the night.

Not only did Park-Gilbert capitalize in transition, with 15 points off turnovers, but they also scored 22 points in the paint.

After a closely contested first half of play, the Buccaneers opened up a second-half scoring run that saw them leading by 18 points at one point. Geisendorfer's jumper with 3:14 left to play gave Park-Gilbert its largest lead of the night.

The Buccaneers return to the floor this Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 1:00 p.m. MST, when they play in their first home game of the regular season against the West Coast Baptist College Eagles at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa, Ariz.
