Bucs Close out Idaho Road Trip Against Rocky Mountain College

Box Score

Lewiston, Idaho – The Park University Gilbert men's basketball team concluded their Idaho road trip with a loss to the Battlin' Bears of Rocky Mountain College 95-53.

After starting the afternoon off with slow shooting, the Buccaneers headed into halftime with the Battlin' Bears ahead 36-28. Unfortunately, Park let their momentum up in the final 20 minutes and allowed the Bears to score 59 more points.

During the first half, the Bucs outshot their opponents 40% to 39.3%. The majority of the scoring came from the five Buccaneer starters throughout the game, whereas the Bears bench chipped in with 21 points.

Rocky Mountain can attribute their breakaway streak to claiming eight offensive rebounds and turning them into 12 second hand points.

It was LC Ballard who led the team with 14 points and went 3-3 at the free throw line. Olgierd Dmochewicz, a junior transfer from Chadron State College logged 20 minutes and accounted for seven of the 28 Buccaneer rebounds.

Park finished the afternoon going 15-23 at the line and 18-56 from the floor. Out of the four games that they have played in this season, the Battlin' Bears were unable to shoot into the triple digits against the Bucs, but continue their winning streak regardless.

The Buccaneers are scheduled to host Northwest Indian College in their 2022 home opener at Bell Bank Park at 7 p.m.
