Box Score The Park University Gilbert women's basketball team rode 54 percent shooting from the field and 57 percent from beyond the arc to defeat an overmatched Bethesda California team 86-23 tonight at The PHHacility in Phoenix, Ariz. With the win, the Bucs upped their record to 7-4. The 63-point margin of victory is the largest in Park Gilbert history.
"We did what we needed to today," said Park Gilbert head coach Jeff Fore. "We still have some things we can clean up, but I was pleased to see how we shot it tonight."
Junior forward Macy Markus led the way setting a new career high for points, scoring 27. She shot 7-11 from three-point range and made four of her six free throws. Freshman Kayla Schroeder scored 13 points and hit on three of her four attempts from long range.
