Biography

Park Gilbert: Redshirted in 2020… played for the beach Bucs in 2019… posted a 4-1 record with two different partners.

 

Bethany College: Played in 31 matches (112 sets) ... had 324 kills and hit .196 ... set a career high with 22 kills in a five-set win vs. St. Mary(Kan) (11/6) ... has 20 matches with double digit kills ... had a career high 12 digs versus Our Lady of the Lake (Tex) (8/23) ,,, set a career high for blocks with 7 in a 3-2 win vs. Graceland (Iowa) (9/7).

 

Junior College: Spent one year at Olympic College (2018, Bremerton, Wash.) and one at Arizona Western (2016, Yuma, Ariz.) ... at Arizona Western she played in 26 matches (80 sets) and had 172 kills and hit .216 ,,, the Matadors won the ACCAC conference and advanced to the national tournament ,,, posted a 26-4 record ... at Olympic College, she averaged 2.98 kills per match and hit .196 ... she earned Northwest Athletic Conference honorable mention ... she also was part of the OC track and field team where she placed fifth in the NWAC in the shot put. 

 

High School: A 2016 graduate of Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Wash. ... coached by Stephanie Kuhn ... a four-year varsity letter winner ... led the team in kills her junior (80) and senior (121) seasons ... hit .201 and .209 respectively in those years ...  tabbed first team all-league her senior year ... named to the second team her junior season ... also played four years of basketball  and three years of track ... finished sixth in the state in the shot put.


Personal: Majoring in Criminal Justice ... mother is Rita Romine-Black, father is Dennis Black ... has three sisters Tess (28), Brigitte (26) and Sydney (24) ... father Dennis played basketball at the University of Portland and was drafted in the ninth round of the 1984 NBA Draft by the Portland Trail Blazers.
