Logan Sanchez starts his third season as an Assistant Coach for the men’s soccer at Park University Gilbert.
Sanchez brings a wealth of knowledge and coaching experience to the Buccaneers staff. His coaching career began at his alma mater, Corvallis High School (Oregon), where he spent four seasons as an assistant coach. He then became the head coach at Lebanon High School (Oregon) for two seasons. Last season, Sanchez served on the Chandler High School (Arizona) coaching staff
In addition to his position at Park, Sanchez serves as the head coach for three youth teams for Real Salt Lake Arizona. He is also an assistant coach for the Olympic Development Program in Arizona on the 2005 Girls and helped lead the 2008 Boys to the finals of the Region IV West Regional Championship Tournament. Sanchez also spent time with OVF Alliance (formerly known as TFA Willamette) in various positions: including Head Club Staff Coach (2014-2016), Director of Juniors (2016-2017) and Coaching & Programs Director (2017-2019).
As a player, Sanchez was a standout striker at Corvallis. In his senior season, he notched 14 goals and 5 assists for the Spartans, as they posted a 15-3 record and went on to win the OSAA 5A Mid-Willamette Conference Title and the OSAA 5A State Title. He also spent four years as a varsity lacrosse player, earning second-team all-league honors as a junior and first-team all-league honors as a senior.
Sanchez’s play at Corvallis earned him a spot on Concordia University’s roster, where he appeared in 12 games as a freshman. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Oregon State.
Sanchez also holds a USSF C Coaching License.
Besides coaching, Sanchez loves traveling, playing video games and watching any soccer game that he can find on TV.
