Park Gilbert (2020-21): One of the team's on-field leaders and most reliable players... started all 16 games at third base... set up the winning run in the Bucs' comeback win over Benedictine Mesa (3/12)... broke the program's single-game hit record with five against Benedictine Mesa to go along with four RBIs and five assists... slashed .538/.615/.533 with seven hits, four RBIs, one walk and one double during the La Sierra series and won Cal Pac Player of the Week... named All-Conference First Team.
Clarendon College: Played two seasons for the Bulldogs… coached by Amanda Fefel… over 183 at bats, Alvarez notched 72 runs, 90 hits, 60 RBIs, four home runs, 42 stolen bases and posted a .492 batting average and .522 OBP… helped the Bulldogs finish 11th in the nation in the NJCAA Division 1 softball rankings… was named All-Conference Infield in 2018 and 2019, as well as Second Team NFCA All-Region West and First Team All-Academic in 2019.
High School: A 2017 graduate of Artesia High School in Lakewood, California… played four years of varsity softball and won two letters… coached by Dayna Coleman… posted a .380 career batting average with 16 runs, 30 hits and eight runs batted in… helped lead the Pioneers to their first CIF playoff appearance in the program’s history as a senior… named San Gabriel Valley First Team All-League in 2014… also named Suburban Second Team All-League as a sophomore and junior, while earning first team recognition as a senior.
Personal: Majoring in kinesiology… hopes to earn a Master’s degree after earning her Bachelor’s degree… mother is Desiree Castillo… has one sibling named Brittany (26)... enjoys listening to music, working out and coloring in her free time.
