California State University Chico: Played one year of NCAA Division II baseball for the Wildcats… coached by Dave Taylor… started seven games and racked up nine hits.

Junior College: Played his freshman year at Fullerton College and sophomore year at Cypress College… coached by Nick Furscado at Fullerton and Anthony Hutting at Cypress… batted .305 for the Chargers, earning Orange Empire Conference 2nd Team honors at Cypress.
