Park University Gilbert has announced its spring sport scholar-athletes for the 2025-26 season. To qualify to be named a scholar-athlete, you have to have a 3.5 GPA or higher, be a sophomore or above in academic standing and have been a student at the institution for two semesters.
Baseball and men's golf led the way with five players each. Softball and beach volleyball had four players each with track and field and men's volleyball putting three players each on the squad.
It is prudent to note each of these teams also had numerous athletes on their teams who made the 3.5 GPA requirement but did not meet the other criteria either being a freshman or a first-year transfer. This is shown in the fact every spring sports program sported 3.0 team GPA or better this year.
There were three 4.0 GPA's in the group of 24 scholar-athletes and five athletes with a 3.9 or better.
