The Park University Gilbert baseball team closed out its 2026 season with a 5-4 loss to Nelson this evening at Tempe Diablo in Tempe, Ariz. The Bucs celebrated their seniors before the game and gave them an exciting game to close out their careers.

The Bucs jumped ahead early as they scored two runs in the third on a Dylan Fisher single to score Pinnow and Ben Castellon.
They added two more in the fifth as Pinnow ground rule double scored Ty Matz and a wild pitch brought home Pinnow three batters later..
One the mound, the Buccaneers threw Johnny Wholestaff as 11 pitchers took the bump this evening. The Bucs had a 4-2 lead in the ninth before surrendering three runs and were unable to muster a comeback in the bottom half of the inning.
