GLENDALE, Ariz. --- The Park University Gilbert track and field team competed in the Glendale Invitational hosted by Glendale Community College, Saturday morning and afternoon in Glendale, Ariz.
The Buccaneers logged multiple Top-3 and Top-5 finishes in a meet that hosted various Division 1, NAIA, and club programs. Their efforts were highlighted by a second-place finish from Leighton Simmons in the women's long jump, falling just short of Grand Canyon University's Jezelle Santiago who reached 1.58 meters.

The Buccaneers return to the track in two weeks, as they prepare for the 2026 Great Southwest Athletic Conference Championships in Aliso Viejo, Calif. The GSAC Championships, hosted by SOKA University, will take place from April 23 to April 25. Â
