HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. --- The Park University Gilbert beach volleyball team (1-7, 1-5) secured their first win of the 2025 season against the Life Pacific University Warriors (1-10, 1-8), Thursday afternoon at the Brookhurst Courts in Huntington Beach, Calif.
After taking a 4-1 loss to LPU on Feb. 12, the Buccaneers responded with a 4-1 win of their own in the first day of this Great Southwest Athletic Conference round robin. The last time Park-Gilbert won at least four flights was last season, in the team's 5-0 win over Simpson University on March 23, 2024.
The Bucs won every matchup except for the No. 5 flight, as the No. 1 and No. 3 flights won their crucial three-set tiebreakers.

The Bucs look to build off this momentum as they continue GSAC round-robin play, gearing up for two games this Friday against Hope International and The Master's, taking place this Friday at 10 a.m. MST and 2:00 p.m. MST respectively at the Brookhurst Courts in Huntington Beach, Calif.
