AZUSA, Calif. --- The Park University Gilbert women's soccer team (5-9-4, 3-6-4) tied 1-1 with the Life Pacific University Warriors (9-8-1, 5-7-1), Saturday evening in Azusa, Calif.
The Buccaneers played to a draw in their 2025 season finale, moving to 1-0-2 all-time against Life Pacific.
Park-Gilbert's lone score in this game came in the 33rd minute, as senior defender Marissa Pond netted her first goal of the season. LPU netted the equalizer in the 63rd minute.
Bucs senior goalkeeper Morgan Trail picked up seven saves in her final collegiate game Saturday afternoon, the most she's picked up in one game this season.
The Warriors outshot the Buccaneers 16-7 and took eight shots on goal to Park-Gilbert's three.
The 2025 season was one full of highs and lows, starting with their most dominant season-opening win in three years. Senior forward Lauren Runnion's 10-goal season set a new school record for most in a year. Runnion also became the first player in program history to record two hat tricks in one season. Park-Gilbert's young core will look to build off the momentum established this year, as the Bucs gear up for the 2026 season in August.
