The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) named seven Park University Gilbert teams on their 2024 National Awards Day as NAIA Scholar Teams. To be named a scholar team, your program had to have at least a 300 GPA for the year.

"This is a great honor," said Park Gilbert Director of Athletics Angelique Claussen. "It shows we are doing things right and our student-athletes are showing you can be great in athletics and great in the classroom."

Women's Basketball, Men's and Women's Soccer, Women's Cross Country, Women's Track and Field, Men's Golf and Softball were all honored. Women's Soccer led the way with a 3.47 GPA. Men's Golf posted the second highest at 3.27.

"Park Gilbert boasts a robust mentor support team headed by Pam Willis," said Claussen "Her leadership in making sure students have the resources and support they need to be successful is paramount to the success you see from our student athletes."
