The Park University Gilbert baseball team dropped its second game against No. 25 OUAZ 10-3 in a non-conference contest at Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Ariz. this evening. The Bucs record evens at 22-22 on the season.
A nine-run second inning did the Bucs in this evening as starting pitcher Junior Flores was roughed up for the second game in a row. Flores allowed seven runs (four earned) in the second and was relieved by Matthew Media who surrendered the last two runs in the inning.
Trey Langan pitched the final five innings of the game, allowing only one run the rest of the way.
The Buc bats scored one run in the second and two in the fourth but then fell silent the remainder of the game. Gino Caperon had two of the Bucs six hits in the contest and Diego Bejarano and Nick Miller each had an RBI.
The final game of this three-game series now turns to Tempe, Ariz., as the Buccaneers will host the Spirit tomorrow afternoon starting at 1 p.m. at Tempe Diablo Field No. 3. It is senior day as the Bucs will honor its 13 seniors.
