The Park University Gilbert beach volleyball team dropped a 4-1 contest at No. 3 Arizona Christian this afternoon in Glendale, Ariz. The Buccaneers are now 2-9 on the season but have faced a murderers' row of top-ranked or NCAA Division II teams.

The Bucs lost for the second time this season to the Firestorm, losing earlier in the season 5-0 at home. Today, the lone win came at the No. 3 flight of Taylor Van Winkle and Jess Goldsmith who earned a straight set victory 21-13, 24-22.

The Bucs lost all of the other flights in straight sets.

The gauntlet continues for the Bucs tomorrow afternoon as they will face off with a pair of NCAA Division II teams. They start with a rematch with Colorado Mesa at 12 p.m., before meeting Texas A&M-Kingsville at 2 p.m. Both matches will be held at Arizona State's beach volleyball facility in Tempe, Ariz.
