The Park University Gilbert women's soccer team finished its two-game road trip with a match against NCAA Division III George Fox University. The Buccaneers ended up on the losing end of this contest, 5-0 in a game played at the Austin Sports Complex in Newberg, Ore., Saturday afternoon.
The Bruins jumped on top 12 minutes into the contest with a goal and added two more by halftime. The Bucs managed three shots (1 on goal) in the first half. Alexandra White had the one shot on goal for the Buccaneers.
The second half saw GFU tack on two more goals over a two minutes span in the 66th and 68th minute. Park was unable to manufacture any more scoring opportunities as they did not add to its shot total in the second half. The Bucs did have five corner kick opportunities for the game.
The Buccaneers had 16 fouls and a yellow card on the afternoon as they attempted to stem the tide on the Bruin offense.
Park Gilbert returns to Arizona to take on Arizona Christian Tuesday, Aug. 29 in Glendale, Ariz. ACU leads the all-time series 2-0, but the two teams have not met since the 2021 season. Â
